Is Chris Pine part of The Princess Diaries 3? Actor wants fans to call Disney

Actor Chris Pine recently addressed the news of The Princess Diaries sequel being in development. During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, Pine stated that he is unaware of any plans for the upcoming film. He also discussed his character, Nicholas, from the previous installment.
During his recent appearance (October 8) on The Tonight Show, Chris Pine discussed the announcement of The Princess Diaries 3, which is touted to feature Anne Hathaway in the lead role. He said, “It’s been 20 years. It’s been a long time. I can’t believe it’s been that long. But more people probably come up to me about that than anything else I’ve ever done. And I’m very happy. It was an incredible experience.”
Addressing the reports of the film’s sequel, he added, “The first time I heard about it was on the internet when someone sent me a screenshot.” Reacting to Anne Hathaway’s Instagram post, which teased the sequel, Chris continued, “She was lounging in a beautiful garden with her glasses on.”
Regarding his character in The Princess Diaries, he joked about his ‘huge hair’.
Chris Pine, who also appeared on Today with Hoda and Jenna, added to the reports of The Princess Diaries’ next installment and said, “I don’t know anything. Call Disney. Call (Disney CEO) Bob Iger. The answer is I got to see. I don’t know anything about it. I think it’s fantastic.”
On October 4, Anne Hathaway, the franchise’s lead actor who portrayed Mia Thermopolis, confirmed The Princess Diaries 3. Adele Lim, popularly known for Crazy Rich Asians, will helm the installment.
